Happy Easter

We’d like to wish a very Happy Easter to all of our readers on this fine Sunday!

I took this photo many years ago in Wrangell, AK in the southeastern part of the state and it always makes me think of Easter.  The early morning frost on the church roof, the hazy white fog against the mountain, the gentle waters of the Inside Passage…it just feels like spring.

We hope you will be spending your day with loved ones!  Little Explorer and I are celebrating together.  It’s her first Easter! Smile

Joe, Angus, and the team are doing very well.  The sun is back and the temperatures are increasing (it might make it to +20F today), which has it’s pros and cons on the expedition.  It makes the snow more slick so it’s easier for the dogs to pull the load, but they’re hotter while they work.  Nevertheless, they’re making forward progress and getting into some beautiful mountain country.

There are a few weeks left to go on this year’s expedition.  I’m hoping the temperatures don’t rise too much and melt all their snow.

Again, Happy Easter!  Enjoy your day.

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16

  1. Happy Easter to you, too!

Was the little explorer do some easter egg hunting? Great photos as always. We hope that Joe and the team have more photos to share when they get back. Safe travels to the Alaskan Arctic Expeditions team!

    • Little Explorer is a bit too small yet for egg hunting, but she did get a wonderful Easter basket full of goodies that her grandma and grandpa sent up to her all the way from Wyoming! She loved it! -Andrea
